Carefully made by Ruland in Marlborough, MA, curved jaw couplings are comprised of two hubs pressed fit with an elastomer "spider" with the same OD. Curved jaw couplings are zero-backlash by design and are well-suited to servo applications where accuracy of torque transmission is required. The blue spider is made from an advanced polyurethane material and has the greatest dampening characteristics. Maximum is 8,000 RPM. RoHS and Reach compliant. Also called a jaw coupling insert or spider.
