Product Description

The Delta Education Stackable Balance is a two-piece balance for grades K-8 to learn about the mass of objects, has a hollow pivot base that acts as a knife-edge for balancing the hollow center of the weighing beam, and is made from durable, vacuum-formed polystyrene. The triangular balance base measures 3.0 x 5.25 x 2.5 inch (H x W x D) and is hollow for stacking. The weighing beam measures .081 x 12 x2.87 inch (H x W x D) and has a 2.5-inch diameter pan on each end in which measured objects and weights are placed. The weighing beam has a hollow center and is also designed for stacking. (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) Balances are used to determine the mass of an object by comparing it to the mass of a known object.
