Product Description

The Rubbermaid Commercial Slim Jim recycling container is a rectangular polyethylene recycling bin imprinted with the universal recycling symbol and with narrow measurements that enable it to fit into tight spaces. Polyethylene is lighter in weight than aluminum or steel and resists cracking. The container measures 30 x 11 x 20 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It has a capacity of 23 gallons. This product contains an ultraviolet (UV) stabilizer that minimizes fading and discoloring. It meets the Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for post-consumer recycled content and can help earn Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) credits. It is suitable for use with accessories including tops, lids, and a dolly (each sold separately).

Trash cans are used for the disposal and temporary storage of garbage. They are typically made of plastic or metal and sometimes have a top or lid to contain odors and waste. Certain garbage cans meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for the disposal of medical waste or National Sanitation Foundation/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) requirements for food handling and processing. Other waste containers include a lock to prevent unauthorized access, safeguard confidential materials, and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements. Waste bins can also be color-coded to facilitate the separation of recyclable waste, such as bottles, cans, paper, and general refuse. Ash/trash can receptacles typically include an ashtray on top for cigarette disposal. Trash cans are used in virtually all commercial and industrial environments.

Rubbermaid manufactures cleaning, organizing, and material handling products for commercial, medical, and industrial applications. The company, founded in 1933, is headquartered in Huntersville, NC.
