The aggressive spiral cut tooth pattern of the file is less likely to load up like fine cut files also. Pferd regular cut files leave an even, scratch free cutting edge with very little effort. Files are approximately 8" long, excluding tang. 13/64" files are used to sharpen 3/8" pitch chainsaw chain. This smaller diameter file leaves a thinner top plate on the cutter, which makes for a faster cutting chain, but one that will dull quicker. One dozen files (2 boxes of 6 files).
