The Eagle C-80 round fusible link can be used with Eagle safety cabinets with sliding doors (sold separately) to help prevent flammable or hazardous liquids inside the cabinet from igniting in case of a fire. The fusible link melts at 165 degrees F to automatically shut the sliding door and extinguish flames.

Some cabinets are made of galvanized steel and are double-walled to reduce the risk of fires. Others are made of polyethylene, which is resistant to certain acids and corrosive liquids.
